As Next Edge Video celebrates another year in the luxury real estate video business, we are taking a look back at the beginning. When we talk about the start of our company, inevitably two words come up… Calvis Wyant. 

When we started this business, we did it with one goal in mind; to revolutionize luxury real estate by providing an effective marketing tool that was at the level demanding of the multi-million dollar home market. Armed with a business plan and decades of experience in television, we knocked on the door of Tony Calvis.

Calvis Wyant Luxury Homes is known for holding the highest custom homebuilding standards in the industry and the result… some of the most magnificent estates you will ever see. We knew a Calvis Wyant home was a perfect match for our idea. After talking to Tony, we learned quite a bit. First, we learned that he is a man of absolute class. Second, his business savvy is second to none. He asked the tough questions… he asked the right questions. After a lengthy conversation, he did something that changed our lives… he said yes.

The first home we shot for Calvis Wyant was a $10 million home in Silverleaf at DC Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona.  The 16,000 square foot custom estate was breathtaking. We knew how lucky we were at that moment to have Tony believe in us enough to tell the story of his spectacular creation. We went to work and the result… a video Tony loved and one that went on to earn an Emmy Award Nomination. Most importantly, the video gained attention for the property all over the world and it sold. The next two houses we did for Tony, also sold.

So, as Next Edge Video moves forward, we always keep in mind how important it is to look back. For every business there is the moment when the dream becomes a reality. For us, Tony was a part of that moment… for that, we are truly grateful.
